☾ FIRST [video/action]
[ Oh, look! A new video entry. It starts up and it's… upside down. Actually it's more like the picture is twirling, so even though it starts upside down it's slowly turning until it's right-side up for a moment, revealing a teenage girl staring at it suspiciously before the slow spinning starts up again as she turns the journal around in her hands. ]
If this really is a camera it's the smallest one I've ever seen. [ She finally comments, stopping the spinning so that she is sideways on the screen. ] And what good is it even supposed to do, anyway?! Is this some kind of mover thing? Can anyone see me? Can anyone-
[ The video suddenly freezes as if she'd paused it, then starts up again. ] -like I'm talking to a book. Great. I get kidnapped or lost or whatever and I'm talking to a book. This is just- [ It pauses for a few seconds again. ] -I can't believe- [ Pause. ] -who even- [ Pause. Finally after what seems like a longer pause the video finally starts playing again and Korra is finally facing the right way with the camera. She looks pretty panicked. ]
Okay, this book is weird. It started talking to me and there's all sorts of writing but why do I even have this? Who even are you people writing in here? This is ridiculous. I'm leaving. ...As soon as I find the exit.
[action]
[ Korra's managed to find her way to the actual village now, still wearing the white shirt and pants she arrived in but a little more focused and less panicked. This wasn't the weirdest thing that's ever happened to her after all! Well, it probably wasn't anyway, but she wasn't about to sit around comparing them. She'd woken up in a forest with a weird book and nothing else, not even her own clothing let alone an explanation. Flipping through the pages of the book had given her a few details (although not as many as there could have been considering she wasn't exactly patient enough to sit around and read thoroughly at the moment) but really the BEST way to figure something out was to get up and out and see what it was with your own eyes.
Sometimes, anyway.
Seeing buildings had been a huge relief but the closer she got to them the more she found herself pausing. Of course part of her wanted to run right in and start demanding answers. The biggest part, really. But there was another, much smaller part that was telling her to be cautious and patient about the situation to avoid doing anything reckless.
That part sounded an awful lot like Tenzin.
Sure, she wasn't the best at taking his advice back home but in this situation she had to grudgingly admit that maybe she should at least start out cautious. Which is why she's now slowly peeking around a building, one hand against the wall and the other held up as if expecting a fight at any second- ]

video -> action
[Eying the view Korra shows her. Hm, there is one place where there are stores at the edge of the village.]
Stay right there.
[Airscooter time. It takes her no time at all to get to the village square and hop off.] Korra!
action
Jinora! [ She goes to wrap her in a hug. ] I'm so glad to see you! [ She's said it already but it definitely bears repeating now that they're not using mover-radio-cameras. ] I'm so sorry you got taken here. I didn't even know you were. But then you might not be taken where… when I'm from, so… Ugh, this place is confusing!
action
Me too! I wasn't sure when I'd see anyone from closer to our time. [Asami is great but she has a stronger bond with Korra.] It isn't so bad here, at least not since I've been here. It's okay, I don't think anyone realizes when someone is brought here. [Jinora would definitely remember her sister missing and then suddenly looking two years older.] Nobody knows when someone goes missing, so don't feel too guilty about it. The last thing I remember was you making the announcement about the end of the civil war between the Water Tribes and about leaving the Spirit Portals open.
action (when you thought you replied to a thread but you didn't….)
[ Despite the fact that on the inside she's completely freaking out, she tries to remain calm. ] Well whatever weird time you're from I'm just glad you're okay. [ She gives her A LOOK. ] You are okay, right?
action (happens all the time... mindbending)
Don't freak out, Korra. She gives Korra a smile to show her just how okay she is.] I'm okay. Grandpa and grangran won't let anything happen to me. And I think Uncle Sokka would help too. I'm even getting along with Wan Shi Tong because he's forgotten everything that made him dislike humans.
action (yes!! extremely powerful mindbending going on around here)
[ She does visibly relax at Jinora's reassurance. ] You're right. I know they wouldn't let anything bad happen to you. [ And then she raises her hands. ] Not that I think you'd need the help, or anything. [ Because if theres one thing she's remembered recently it's that Jinora is basically the most capable 11 year old like, ever. ]
But- wait, that owl spirit?
action (someone should seriously get on taking care of that)
Right! Just like they didn't let anything happen to Ikki. [Jinora grins at that. Her airbending skills are great but to hear it is another thing.] I wouldn't object to help. [Airbenders stick together and all that.]
Yeah, he lives in the library here. He's forgotten a lot. I'm not sure how much but he forgot that grandpa and the others went by his library seventy years ago.
action (right?? where are these avatars when you need them)
[ At the talk of Wan Shi Tong she can't help but scowl. ] Has he forgotten how he turned you over to Unalaq? I know you said you're getting along, but…
action (clearly not here yet, or Korra can be the first)
[She frowns.] Yes, he's completely forgotten all of it.
action (she would certainly try her best)
She's a little more distracted by the talk of Wan Shi Tong right now, though. ] I wonder how he forgot all of it? It's not just that he's from… an earlier time? [ That just sounded SO weird. She frowns, too. ]
Well, I don't like it. It wouldn't be the first time he's tried to trick people.
action (maybe someone in Luceti already knows how)
Her earlier frown only deepens.] On the guide, it's said when we die we come back but we've lost something. I think that's what happened to him.
action (well then they're holding out on us. jerks.)
Right… the guide… [ Someone didn't do their homework. ] I guess I really should read more of that. There's just a lot to take in. [ She gives a little huff. ] Maybe it is what happened with him. As long as he doesn't try anything funny.
