[ Oh, look! A new video entry. It starts up and it's… upside down. Actually it's more like the picture is twirling, so even though it starts upside down it's slowly turning until it's right-side up for a moment, revealing a teenage girl staring at it suspiciously before the slow spinning starts up again as she turns the journal around in her hands. ]

If this really is a camera it's the smallest one I've ever seen. [ She finally comments, stopping the spinning so that she is sideways on the screen. ] And what good is it even supposed to do, anyway?! Is this some kind of mover thing? Can anyone see me? Can anyone-

[ The video suddenly freezes as if she'd paused it, then starts up again. ] -like I'm talking to a book. Great. I get kidnapped or lost or whatever and I'm talking to a book. This is just- [ It pauses for a few seconds again. ] -I can't believe- [ Pause. ] -who even- [ Pause. Finally after what seems like a longer pause the video finally starts playing again and Korra is finally facing the right way with the camera. She looks pretty panicked. ]

Okay, this book is weird. It started talking to me and there's all sorts of writing but why do I even have this? Who even are you people writing in here? This is ridiculous. I'm leaving. ...As soon as I find the exit.

[ Korra's managed to find her way to the actual village now, still wearing the white shirt and pants she arrived in but a little more focused and less panicked. This wasn't the weirdest thing that's ever happened to her after all! Well, it probably wasn't anyway, but she wasn't about to sit around comparing them. She'd woken up in a forest with a weird book and nothing else, not even her own clothing let alone an explanation. Flipping through the pages of the book had given her a few details (although not as many as there could have been considering she wasn't exactly patient enough to sit around and read thoroughly at the moment) but really the BEST way to figure something out was to get up and out and see what it was with your own eyes.

Sometimes, anyway.

Seeing buildings had been a huge relief but the closer she got to them the more she found herself pausing. Of course part of her wanted to run right in and start demanding answers. The biggest part, really. But there was another, much smaller part that was telling her to be cautious and patient about the situation to avoid doing anything reckless.

That part sounded an awful lot like Tenzin.

Sure, she wasn't the best at taking his advice back home but in this situation she had to grudgingly admit that maybe she should at least start out cautious. Which is why she's now slowly peeking around a building, one hand against the wall and the other held up as if expecting a fight at any second- ]

[ You could write in this book, too… That was easier than twirling the camera around, she guessed. ]

I'm Korra. And no one's been able to find one? But it looks like there are so many people here.

[Considering she has no voice to speak with at the time, this was the sadly only way she could communicate with Korra.]

I'm certain there have been as many attempts as there are people, but the only way out so far seems to be when this world deems it is done with you.

[ Of course, having no voice would make videos and audios a little difficult! ]

That's ridiculous. This isn't my world from what I've heard, why should I have to listen it it? How does it even decide these things!

You don't have to listen to what people tell you, and are free to make your own choices. Go ahead and find your own answers. [In fact, she'd prefer if Korra did just that.]

As for how it decides these things, I can't say. Answers are difficult to find.

[ Korra's actually not sure what to say at first because as refreshing as it is to be told to make her own choices and get her own answers, it's definitely not something she's used to hearing. ]

Great! I will! And then I'll let you know all about the exits I've found.

[ Totally. ]

Do you know all this from your experience, then?

If you do succeed in finding any, then I will apologize for any way I might have discouraged you. [And she was being sincere too, just because she has been here a while didn't mean she didn't want to return home.]

In terms of how much time I've been here, I'll soon reach four years according to this world's calendar, so I have as much experience as that amounts to.

You won't have anything to apologize for. You're not the first person who's warned me it might not be easy, you know? But FOUR YEARS?

[ That is SO LONG. If anything was going to actually discourage her it would just be the length of time some of these people had been here, but it hasn't really stopped her just yet. ]

That is a really really long stay. What do you even do in that time?

I'm not surprised that I haven't been the only one to tell you that. [And some people have been here even longer, without even going into accounts of others returning home only to be brought back.]

I'm fortunate, depending on how you look at it, to have others of my world here with me. I've also come to know a number of people here in the enclosure and form friendships with them. But I still intend to return home.

Oh, really? Yeah, I've met a lot of people from my world, too! And some of them are people I'd never be able to meet normally from my world- at least not in the same way. [ It was… confusing, to say the least. ] And as weird as it is to meet people from other worlds, it's also sort of interesting.

But I still have to get home. I have responsibilities and people waiting for me. I mean, I'm sure you do, too. I'll definitely let you know if I figure anything out.
