[...Well okay he hadn't quite thought of it like that. And that does make things a bit more awkward but still.]
So what? I'm not the Fire Lord here! And I don't know what I'm like or how old I am in your time but I'm not any of that here either! I'm just a guy!
[And sure she's the Avatar. Aang's next life and all that. But in this place, to him she's just a girl. A... very attractive and interesting girl. A friend and... thanks to circumstances out of their control, maybe something a bit more? After they get over the weird anyway.]

Zuko, you're not "just a guy." When we were at that weird university you were just some guy and I was just some girl, but that's not how it works now that we remember. [ She gives an aggravated sigh, although it's not directed at him- more the situation as a whole. ]
Just because we're here doesn't mean it changes who we are back home!
[ Even though forgetting everything should sound like a great idea she can't help but frown at that. ]
No, it won't be. Just because you forget something doesn't mean it didn't happen!
[ Says the girl who's had amnesia (and apparently forgotten her "visits" here several times before, too.) ]
I don't plan on forgetting anything that happened here ever again, no matter how many more times they decide to drag me back and forth. So I guess that includes this.
You don't know that for sure! [ She crosses her arms, frowning. ] Just because we've forgotten before doesn't mean this won't be the time we remember things. Have you been here that long that you're just going to give up? Or-
[ And she uncrosses her arms. ] Do you just really want to forget me so bad?! You're the one who said it wasn't a big deal!
I don't just think of you as some old man! [ She looks frustrated at trying to explain what she thinks of him as, at even understanding what she thinks of him as. ] I like you, I like hanging out with you, but it was all...[ Fake? Different? Altered? She clearly can't think of the right way to put it, and shrugs helplessly. ]
Well I can't think like that. [ And maybe that's a big part of the problem. ] Don't you get it? I'm the Avatar. I can't not think about back home. But I don't want to forget, either. [ And there was the dilemma. ]
[It was easy for him to forget that she was the Avatar in her time. Aang's always been the Avatar for him after all. But he understood, at least in part, where she was coming from.]
Sorry.
[He said quietly, looking rather dejected as he slipped on his tunic and started to leave without even bothering to tie it up. It was probably best if he just got out of here.]
[ She answers, and although there's an edge to her voice she doesn't sound insincere. As he walks towards the door she can't help but think she should stop him and they should try to clear this whole thing up somehow- talk it through or something, but she's too stubborn and upset with the situation, so she just crosses her arms and lets him walk. ]

I know that.
[There's a pause as he tries to gather his thoughts.]
But it doesn't matter. This isn't home, and when we do get back, we won't remember any of this anyway.
[He's had a lot of time to think on these things when he discovered he was crushing on Katara.]
It'll be like it never happened.

[ And there's that stubbornness again. ]

[Zuko shouts back at her.]
You can't stop it! No one can! I've been here who knows how many times too, and people tell me I've done things I don't remember!
[Not to mention he almost had a relationship with Katara, but he doesn't quite know that. Stubborn meet stubborn.]

What?! No! That's... that's not what I meant!
[Action | Sept 13 | Morning ]
[ She knew she was acting irrationally, but when did knowing that ever help? ]
[Action | Sept 13 | Morning ]
[He's indignant and huffy, but there's a red tinge on his cheek that isn't scarred.]
I don't want to think about how things are back home or how things will be if we ever go back. I just want to think about right now!
[Why is he so bad at this?]
